Before screen printing directly onto the screen of the iPhone I removed and recycled the battery and gave the body of the phone a good clean. The finished pieces are presented float mounted in a hand built box frame. I had them mounted at a slight angle to reflect the angle you hold your phone at.
The illustrations are all character studies of people using their phones, often from photographs I’ve taken on my iPhone.
The series aimed to hold up a mirror to how we live our lives through these small screens, from our most intimate to our most mundane moments.
It was a series of works I am very proud of, but all projects come to an end and this one is no different. These sold in UK Galleries at £395 and at some fairs in the US for $595. Now direct form me they’re £195 each or a set of 3 for £495.
